Royce & John’s Fort Collins Senior Center wedding

wedding details with matchmaker boutonniere

Royce and John’s love story is about as remarkable as it gets. How fate brought them together is truly amazing. I will let Royce describe this in her own words:

“It’s never too late to live HAPPILY EVER AFTER! We have made this our motto as we truly believe that our love story reflects the strength and resilience of the human spirit. Continue reading

Grace & Scott’s McC Ranch wedding

Grace and Scott’s wedding took place at McC Ranch in Masonville, Colorado, nestled in the foothills near Fort Collins. It’s a scenic spot for wedding photos, with a view of the colorful hogback ridges that help make Colorado so beautiful. The day was perfect and warm with some welcome overcast during the ceremony. The whole event represented their personalities perfectly, including their shared love of beer and the laid-back feel of the day. It was also a mini-reunion for Grace and her fellow Peace Corps comrades from her time in Uganda. Those that couldn’t make the trip were represented by cut-out photos on a stick. The afternoon reception finished off with some lively dancing. Congrats, Grace and Scott!

Jessica and Luis’ snowy wedding at the YMCA in Estes Park

It was a real pleasure to kick of this year’s wedding season with Jessica and Luis, who I had a great time photographing in Fort Collins for their engagement photos at Christmas. The sub-freezing temperatures then were good practice for their wedding day, which took place at the YMCA in Estes Park nestled in the mountains. After warmer temperatures and melted snow the week before it started snowing overnight and kept going throughout the day, dumping over a foot of snow! It made it a winter wonderland and the day more memorable for those that traveled from warmer climates to be there. The couple had their ceremony at Ponder Chapel followed by a lavender toss afterwards. Despite the heavy snow and cold we managed to get some amazing photos outside, and of course the guys had to have a snowball fight at some point. The wedding reception had lots of fun Mexican tradition and dancing in honor of Luis’ heritage, and an amazing candy buffet! Congrats, Jessica and Luis!

Julia and David’s Fort Collins wedding at Tapestry House

Julie and David had an amazing wedding celebration at the Tapestry House in Fort Collins, on a late Fall day with perfect clear skies. Their happiness was fully apparent in the huge grins and laughter they had throughout the day. We took advantage of the beautiful fall colors and the ambience of the glowing lights at dusk around the Tapestry House to capture some beautiful photos in the limited time we had. The reception topped it off with some great moves on the dance floor. The happy couple enjoyed their honeymoon in Jamaica.

Nakita & Sam’s rustic ranch wedding at Wyoming Hereford Ranch

Cheyenne Wedding Photographers

Nakita and Sam’s wedding day took place just outside of Cheyenne, Wyoming at the serene, farmyard setting of Wyoming Hereford Ranch. It was a casual afternoon wedding ceremony and reception which reflected the couple’s personality perfectly. The happy couple started their wedding photos with a First Look at the Hereford Ranch dairy barn and after the creekside ceremony had their reception in the loft of the horse barn. Afterwards we explored the ranch property for more photos with just the couple, and found some friendly horses to pet and had amazing light and scenery. Wyoming Hereford Ranch has been around since 1883 and I would highly recommend if you want a rustic country feel for your own wedding.

Alison & Adam’s Mueller State Park Wedding

It was a scenic 3 hour drive south from Fort Collins through Colorado Springs and past Pikes Peak to get to beautiful Mueller State Park for Alison and Adam’s early September wedding. It was a small destination wedding, and the guests and couple filled up the park cabins that overlooked majestic Pikes Peak. The couple loves hiking and Alison has fond childhood memories of this park. They even requested that guests wear their finest hiking footwear for the event. The weather turned out perfectly and there were lots of locations to choose from for photos, including aspen groves, rocks, ponds and of course great views of the mountains.

Cindy & Chris’ Fort Collins engagement photos

This engagement photography session was taken at Spring Canyon Park in Fort Collins with the lovely Cindy and Chris. I get the pleasure of photographing their wedding very, very soon on a farm near Fort Collins. They had to move their wedding location from Estes Park due to the historic flooding that happened, but it will still be a great day (and sunny!).

Fort Collins Engagement Photography | Elisabeth & Adam

It was great to get to know Elisabeth and Adam more before their wedding, which will take place in just a few short weeks just outside of Denver. They are both from Michigan, where they met, and now live in Denver. We did their engagement photography in the Fort Collins area at the CSU Oval and the foothills, and they quickly relaxed in front of the camera.

I also get to see them a week before their wedding at their friend’s wedding I’m photographing! I’m looking forward to the next few weeks of action…
