I have lots of experience photographing Asian couples and understand many of the customs and traditions that go along with these.
In this bride and groom portrait, I captured some sun flare that glowed over the couple as they shared an loving moment between them. The bride has a Singapore background and the groom is from China, although they are both Australian. Since then they moved to China for a hugely different lifestyle. As well as having some traditional Western bridal portraits, they also had a big wedding reception in China. The bride was dreading the many customs that had to be performed there, as well as the pecking order that needs to be remembered.
As a wedding photographer who lived abroad in Australia and Canada, I worked with many couples with different backgrounds including Thai, Chinese, Vietnamese, Singaporean, Sri Lankan, and Indian.
