Vicki & Nigel – April 17th

These two were a ton of fun on the day, and we captured some great moments because of it. The bridal party were hamming it up all day and had me laughing so often it was hard to stay focused at times (me, not the camera). They were up for anything and we even squeezed in some ‘edgy’ photos in Civic with the graffiti wall which were really cool. The ceremony took place beside the lake at Nara Park with reception at the Hellenic Club.

This shot got published in the Canberra Times, thanks to Nigel’s father submitting it after seeing it on my Facebook photo page (the article is posted there as well). It turned out to be a topical coincidence that I took the photo just as the Iceland volcano was first erupting and the couple were heading to Europe for their honeymoon (which luckily worked out in the end).

They had an old-school photo booth at the reception. Cool idea!

Amy & Kerry – April 10th

Amy & Kerry were wed at Sacred Heart Church on a very nice autumn day in Canberra. The day had plenty of fun moments, like when a red mustang pulled up to take Kerry to the ceremony, to his complete surprise. We did the bridal party shots at Commonwealth Park, getting some golden light just before sunset, and then a few in the fading light at Old Parliament House before they headed to the reception at The Lobby Restaurant nearby. This was another wedding photographed under Chapel Photographers.
