Kate & Ben are a sweet couple with a casual nature that made them a pleasure to photograph. We all met up before the ceremony for a relaxing photo session with just the two of them (and me, of course!). It seems like when couples see each other beforehand it helps put each other at ease and makes the photo part a breeze. We traipsed around Canberra going from the art gallery, to Reconciliation Place, the museum, and Commonwealth Park. They walked and laughed together on their way up the ‘aisle’ to the ceremony at the Sculpture Garden, which was very short but sweet. They had a cocktail reception at the adjacent and aptly-named Sculpture Garden Restaurant.

It rained and rained, and then it kept raining some more. It was the most rain that parched Canberra has seen in years, but there is a saying that this is a sign of good luck on a wedding day. There was plenty of room for all inside at DeVine Function Centre at the Kamberra Wine Company, and everyone enjoyed having to stay in for a change. There was a nice veranda for outdoor photos and the rain let up enough for Erin and Sam to venture outside to the would-be ceremony site and enjoy the view of the vineyards.
