Shannon and Alex were excited but relaxed before the ceremony, which took place at the Commonwealth Club. After some mingling and family shots, we headed down to Lennox Gardens for some quick photos and a chance for the bridal party to ‘catch up’ before the reception. The evening featured a beautiful waltz by the couple and a band playing plenty of old favourites.

Merimbula was the idyllic setting for this ‘destination’ wedding, which had special meaning as the first place the couple went away to together. It was an amazing setting, with the ceremony on sand-swept rocks overlooking the bay and a cooling sea breeze. We were surrounded by wildlife, from black cockatoos outside Matt’s hangout to humpbacks breaching in the distance during our bridal party photos and a few humpbacks in the sunset from the very cool reception venue with its’ own aquarium at Merimbula Wharf Restaurant. The couple were really in their element and had lots of fun complete with a game of tag on the beach.

A celebratory glass of bubbly beforehand… watch out for the cork!
