It’s been a busy Spring wedding season and this was already my 4th wedding for Chapel Photographers in just 3 weeks. The ceremony took place at Old Parliament House, Macarthur Rose Garden, which was still picturesque and flowery despite the roses not being out yet. After some drinks and nibbles in the garden we went off to explore Commonwealth Park and the couple were even up for some impromptu flower shots on Northbourne Avenue on the last weekend of Floriade.

The couple met in England and came to Canberra to get married in Susan’s hometown (who luckily has many sisters here to help with planning). The weather didn’t cooperate with rain starting during the ceremony at Magna Carta Place, but it certainly didn’t dampen the emotions of the day. Everyone was up for staying outside for our bridal party shots and we had the National Portrait Gallery and Reconciliation Place to ourselves at prime wedding time. Congrats to Susan and Stuart who were back to England soon after!
