It was great to get back to Vancouver Island to photograph a wedding after an exciting trip to Europe seeing family. Alisha & Glen came over from Vancouver for their destination wedding at The Alders Beach Resort, about 3 hours north of Victoria BC. The resort has a laid-back, secluded feel which was a perfect venue for the couple. The two share a love for Scrabble, which was apparent in the reception details, which included place cards made by Alisha’s elementary school students. They even splurged by hiring military jets for a perfectly-timed fly-over after the signing! Oh, and not to mention the flash mob by the guests after the ceremony! I felt privileged to be their wedding photographer and to connect with them so well.
And, well, what good wedding portraits would be complete without a ‘T. rex chasing the bridal party’ shot?
